At the Engineering Technical College in Maysan, the Engineering Division started planting trees  to sustain the university environment, with the participation of students from the Building and Construction Techniques Engineering Department.

Under the direction of Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Aziz Muhammad, Dean of the College, the bushes has been removed on an ongoing basis and the cultivation of unused lands has been expanded, to benefit from, that the green university environment constitutes an important place for rest, and the preservation of this green environment calls for the development of this environment, and adherence to standards The appropriate green environment, and this, in turn, causes many positive changes, which would affect the psychological factor of the university student.

 The interest in the green university environment lies through projects, which are represented by attention to infrastructure.
