The Technical College of Engineering in Maysan launches a campaign to distribute water to Arbaeen pilgrims in service of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him).

As part of its annual community initiatives, and in implementation of the Office of His Excellency the Prime Minister, and under the direction of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, and the President of the Southern Technical University, Professor Dr. Adnan Abdullah Atiq, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Mahmoud Aziz Muhammad, the Technical College of Engineering in Maysan, one of the formations of the Southern Technical University, launched a large-scale volunteer campaign to distribute water and cold drinks to pilgrims of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) heading on foot to Karbala to commemorate the Arbaeen pilgrimage. This blessed campaign was launched under the direct guidance of the Dean of the College, Professor Mahmoud Aziz Muhammad, and with the active participation of college staff. A service detachment was set up on one of the main roads used by pilgrims (Al-Bateera Road). The detachment was equipped with large quantities of cold water bottles, juices, and ice. The detachment also provided large quantities of water bottles for the owners of the Husseini processions. In a statement, the Dean emphasized that “this campaign stems from the college’s societal responsibility and embodies the values ​​of giving and Husseini service, which we are keen to instill.” He added, “Serving the pilgrims of Imam Hussein is a great honor, one we cherish and strive to develop every year.”
