The Technical College of Engineering in Maysan organized a symposium entitled Types of Human Rights and Restrictions on Their Practice in the hall of the Department of Electromechanical Systems Engineering Technology with the participation of a number of college students.
The symposium, in which Eng. Dr. Khairi Bri Al-Bazouni lectured, aimed to define the concept of human rights and freedoms that form the basis on which this concept is based. This knowledge is the basic condition for the sustainability of these freedoms. In addition, the public’s learning of these rights and awareness of their problems helps in protecting and defending them. Including human rights in university curricula aims to raise awareness among young university students and educate them about them and highlight the role of each individual in promoting, protecting and interacting with them.
The workshop addressed several axes, including defining the concept of human rights and types of human rights, economic, social and cultural rights, the right to adequate food, the right to adequate housing, education, health, social security, participation in cultural life, and work
