Maysan Engineering Technical College holds a symposium on sustainable development goals to eradicate poverty

The Educational Guidance and Psychological Counseling Unit at the Engineering Technical College in Maysan held a symposium entitled (Sustainable Development Goals – Poverty Eradication) for college students in cooperation with the Electromechanical Technology Engineering Department.
The symposium, which was lectured by assistant teacher Zainab Faraj Karim, several topics, including defining poverty in terms and concepts, the causes and effects of poverty, and then development, the sustainable development goals, and the United Nations plan to eradicate poverty, which is the first goal of the sustainable development goals and was developed by the United Nations .

The symposium aimed to point out the constitutional articles that guarantee the rights of citizens in order to reduce poverty, and in a related context, the discussion was opened for attendees.

The symposium came up with several recommendations, including implementing constitutional texts related to the economic situation, equal opportunities, and reducing unemployment
