A teacher from the Technical College of Engineering in Maysan is a member in the discussion of a master's thesis
Head of the Electromechanical Techniques Engineering Department at the Technical College of Engineering in Maysan, Dr. Wael Hussein Zayer, a member of a master’s thesis discussion at the College of Graduate Studies / Basra within the Southern Technical University (controlling the speed of a permanent magnet synchronous motor equipped with a multi-level commutator on the basis of smart technologies) Intelligence Techniques Based Speed Control of Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor Fed from Multilevel Inveter
The thesis submitted by the student Doaa Saleh Nasser included the use of a two- and three-level voltage source inverter with pulse width modulation based on SVPWM to supply the appropriate voltage to the permanent magnet synchronous motor, in addition to the use of a FOC type control system to control the motor speed. The study recommended, at the conclusion of its discussion, that the proposed control system with the proposed algorithms was highly efficient in controlling the speed for this type of motor. The thesis was successfully accepted and the student received a very good grade
