The Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit, in cooperation with the Building and Construction Technology Engineering Department, held an educational symposium entitled (Suicide and Reducing its Phenomenon) for the department’s students.
The symposium, which was lectured by assistant teacher Zainab Faraj Karim, touched on several topics, including the causes of suicide, methods of preventing them, and how to diagnose suicide cases.
The symposium aimed to:
Introducing students to the importance of adhering to religion, not giving in to problems, and treating complex psychological cases early, in order not to fall prey to suicide.

The symposium came up with several recommendations, including:
– Stick to good company that helps you deal with life’s problems and face them.
– Adherence to the instructions of the true religion and the fear of God Almighty.
– Diagnosing psychological conditions and disorders in order to treat them early.

– Do not take any medication that could have a bad result.
