The Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit at the College of Engineering Technology in Maysan organizes a symposium entitled University Student Duties and the Punishments Imposed on Him in Light of Student Discipline Instructions No. 106 of 2007. The symposium, which was lectured by Professor Ali Karim Shajar, aimed to familiarize students with the Student Discipline Law and instill a spirit of compliance and application. The laws are in their hearts because they serve the common good of the student and society. The symposium included several topics, including an explanation of the Student Discipline Law No. 160 of 2007, an explanation of the university student’s rights and obligations on campus, and the penalties imposed on him if he violates one of the duties imposed on him and contained in the student discipline instructions.
The symposium concluded with several recommendations, including the necessity of adhering to the laws and regulations related to students, as well as learning about the applicable laws, in addition to spreading the legal culture in the university community.
