:Vision

The department’s vision is to be a leader and pioneer in the field of modern building and construction engineering technologies at the level of education and scientific research and the use and management of those technologies, by providing the graduate with the experiences that qualify him to participate effectively in engineering projects in terms of planning, design, implementation, project operation and maintenance.

:Program Mission

The department’s mission is to provide the fields of work with distinguished engineers in the field of construction technology engineering to serve development plans and contribute effectively to the implementation of engineering projects, provide scientific consultations, prepare economic feasibility studies and engineering designs for building projects, and publish solid research that supports the wheel of science and education, as well as providing technical services and contributing to solving problems. Current issues, especially those related to the quality of building materials.

:Firstly

Design and supervision of the implementation of all works related to engineering projects, such as buildings, bridges, roads, airports, tunnels, dams, hydraulic installations, manufactured building units, and prestressed concrete units.

secondly

Conducting all field, on-site and laboratory tests (destructive and non-destructive) on all construction materials and soil, reading their results and matching them with standard specifications.

:Third

Reading, preparing and implementing structural and architectural maps, calculating their quantities and costs, and concluding contracts for projects, using the computer extensively.

:Fourthly

Organizing and managing various construction projects using modern methods, using computers, and familiarity with professional methods in construction work, in addition to studying construction machines in terms of their productivity, operating costs, and methods of using them.

Dealing with modern construction materials and new locally available alternatives and additives in concrete works and soil stabilization works for important projects

:Sixthly

Maintaining buildings, roads and other projects and controlling environmental pollution as a problem of the times

Extensive use of modern surveying equipment to prepare plans and topographical profiles, divide lands, determine road routes, and draw longitudinal and cross sections.
